“I am SOOOOO happy!!!!!! I have spent the last few days with Jon while he is on leave from Afghanistan. It has been better between us than I remembered it. He is well worth the long wait for him to get back home.

Besides just immensely enjoying each other's company, we have been doing some pretty fun stuff. We have spent a few days tooling around on a Harley despite the cold. Yesterday he and I and his buddy went to the Cubs game, great seats behind home plate (they won). Fun wedding and reception on Saturday and then a party for him on Sunday. And lots and lots of grocery shopping. ;) woohooo!!!

And we still have a week and a half left before he has to go back to that desert on the other side of the world. I am such a lucky girl!!”
