First off let me get this stright... I had nothing to do with it.

over the weekend treebeard drop a bottle of soda on his foot. Well the pain got worse over the weekend. So he went to the ER today around lunch. I just found out he is still there and im heading there to be with him. (geobeet lets hope we dont have to start a Sign Treebeards cast thread). So lets all have good thoughts please and hope its not broken.

(if it is, there is a good chance that I will have to feed my family which means we may starve) LOL

good thoughts only

forget the soda bottle story
Treebeard once said (while proudly thrusting out his chest):
"I've been driving in this city since 1972 and I never got towed!"

Perhaps the foot went to far into mouth?

Treebeard, we are all hoping that your recovery is quick and as pain-free as possible. Just don't post any gross pictures like the soon-to-be-banned yo-yo boy did.

Thankyou....

A soda bottle? I would think it was from kicking something when he found out his car was towed.

I hope it all works out, Treebeard.

Thank you, well wishers!
And you too, Pennsy. If I could get my foot out of my mouth long enough to say something, I'd have a few words for you! j/k Anyway, the x-rays were negative. That's good news. Either that or negative means they took a picture of the wrong limb. Truthfully, I am glad there are no breaks, but it really is a morbid shade of black, blue and a few other highlights of the color spectrum. Ynami, you are right, my feet are taking a beating. I have the heel inflammation in the right one and now, this g-damn thing on the left. Doesn't make for much of a walk in the woods. Sass, I like the way you think, but I guess I didn't look in pain enough to walk away with more than just Motrin. Lyra, you told Pennsy to kick 'em when they are down. Ironic thing to hear when you are afflicted with two foot injuries. To all the rest who questioned our conflicts with food oriented products, this is what happened. All I wanted to do is mix up another Tequila Sunrise (Hey, that's a song). I pulled the OJ out of the fridge and voila, out came the 2 liter coke. The rest is bloody history. Bit, good luck with the foot. If I remember correctly, you have a similar problem with the heel. Correct? Now, be nice to me or I'll post a picture of this ugly thing...

Glad everything is okay!

My particular problem is on the back of my heel, not the bottom, like heel spurs apparently usually are. Makes my Achilles tendon inflame sometimes.

I see. My doc said that my problem is not so much a heel spru as it is the inflammation surrounding the heel. Check it out, because it could take a while to go away (I was going to say heal, but didn't want to pun)

Bit I had that same pain! Do you wear docksiders alot? Or flat shoes? Mine totally went away when I stopped wearing flat shoes.

Sorry to hear about the Foot Treebeard, I've done that before but it was a mayo jar. Landed square on my big toe. Good luck, heal fast.

I wear houseshoes a lot at home. I've recently retired an old pair of moccasins that I used to wear all the time. Maybe that's it. Anyway, I have these big lumps on the sides of heels, about where the Achilles are attached. They can get painful sometimes.

Tree People, Please Read
There is a force field surrounding the Earth called gravity. It makes things fall down. There are those who think they can levitate objects, but you two are not among them. I have been investigating this issue, and try as I might, cannot stop things from falling down, or make them fall up. I've tried everything I know to disprove this gravity thing and nothing works. So I'm sharing this hard-won knowledge with you in hopes it might someday save your lives. Why save your lives, you might ask? Easy, ... no telling when I might get a hankering to visit an auto impoundment lot somewhere to amuse myself. The best thing to do is stay away from falling objects, like soda and turkeys, to name two off the top of my head.

Try New Balance sneakers. I wear the black 608 or 609's so I can wear them at work. They are great for everyday use. the heels get a major amount of support...

Oh I didn't have any bumps just burning pain along my achilles tendon a wrapping around my heal. It really acted up after alot of walking, stretching helped some. But the shoes made the big difference.

I really thought it was broken. It looks soo bad. But treebeard is a trooper and didnt byitch to much!!

I called the Er and asked how long he might be there and the Doctor said, "no worries he will be here for a long time". So I started to get ready to head on over to the Er. As soon as I shut down my PC he called to say he was done.
LOL, all of 10 mins later. thats the way Er's are now a days. you just never now how long you will be in there.

Yeah, if you show up with a backpack full of provisions and a big book to read, they have you in and out in 10 minutes. Generally though, it's a four-hour wait.
