How Many States Have You Backpacked In?

How many different states have you backpacked in? It'd be cool to backpack in all 50, I wonder if anyone has done it.

Dayhikes don't count, too easy.

My list so far (in chronological order):

1. Florida
2. New York
3. Pennsylvania
4. New Jersey

Yeah, I know. Montana was beautiful and made an excellent first time backpacking trip. I definitely need to get all over the country.

P.S. You need some mid-west and eastern states on your list! Come out and play with us! :-)

From the west I have hike in AK, CA, MT, AZ, WY, CO, TN, KY, OH, NC. Dayhike alot of WA. and OR and have been to been to all but HI, RI, CT. and the one above SD.

New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Lousiana, New Mexico, California, Oregon, Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.

I've walked with a heavy backpack on (esp. ages ago when I bummed around the country, hiking and hitch-hiking).

Rainbow gathering 98....funny you should mention that! Once when I was hitching up to oregon I found an old beat up diary written by a girl who went to that and lived in a cave in arizona...I DIDN"T MEAN TO READ IT!....But I found an address and mailed it off to someone who must of known her.

Free23 that is crazy because at the gathering we met this girl and her dog. She wanted a picture of the dog and herself because she said she never had a camera. So we take one and she goes on her way. Then realizing we forgot to get her address! oops! Well on the way back to New Mexico we found her notebook that was left in the back of our van. Thats very weird!
