Snow Nymph and SnowDude tie the knot at 11,053'

“ Saturday, 15 March at 11am

Mammoth is expecting big dumpage (3-5') starting Thursday, so the top might be closed on Saturday. Instead of throwing birdseed, we'd love to have big fluffy snowflakes come down instead. After a really short ceremony, we'll go down Climax and ride for the rest of the day.

One of the Mammoth forum members offered to take wedding pics for us for free! He's done 5 weddings and said they came out good. What a deal! We were going to use whatever pics our friends took! We also posted the wedding on the Mammoth forum, so we can meet more members. A lot of us have already met, so this way we'll get to put more faces with the names.

We're leaving Thursday night, and hopefully escrow will close on Friday and we'll have a place to stay for the honeymoon. If not, we might spend our honeymoon in the truck. . . 8-(

Everything is coming together, and we should have a fun 10 days in our new condo! Sheebz and Dave-O are spending the week in Mammoth too, so it'll be a great time!

SnowDude already warned me that "there's no such thing as a fiance on a powder day". We lost each other on the slopes on the last pow day! Whooo Hoooo!!!”

We'll be there all week (til the 23rd). I'll have my snowshoes and hiking gear (might need a break during the week). We keep our 2-way radios on til we go to sleep to keep contact in town (channel 11-24). Good camping in Long Valley (near Sierra Mel's) by the hot springs. I can e-mail info if you're interested. Do you know of anywhere to get discount lift tickets? Also, regarding the weather, pure nasty this weekend, very high snow levels 8000' +/- so even if you're above the snow line the snow will be sloppy and wet, very high winds too. With that being said, the snow level on Sunday - Monday is supposed to drop to 2000' so you'll have some terific light dry pow to shred.”
