Dude, Your Getting A New Boss!!!
Well, I don't know if he's going to be YOUR boss or not. But, I do know that a friend of mine who lived here in Cody, who works for the BLM in Colorado (Glenwood ?), is moving to Billings.

Have you heard of this yet? He's a pretty cool guy, at least in my book. If you need any blackmail material on him, let me know.

His name is Eddie B.

Well, to be perfectly honest.....
I got the pic from a friend in Butte, where, you learn not to have exposed pipes in an un-insulated garage in a place that gets 50 below in the winter!

Chili- that's the team I coach part-time(running, not cheerleading)! We're going to be down in Pomona this fall and I'm going to try to have them meet Phil and the Snow Family!

Pomona in November! Mark your calendars!

Actually, that picture of the girls was in Fresno last fall for the NCAA Regional.

Montana ever go up against Arkansas or Stanford? We had the NCAA's here in Kansas a few years back, and it was one of the best sporting events I have ever witnessed.

We're DII, but we've been at meets with Oregon, Michigan, Arizona, BYU and Colorado.
aero

The year that the NCAA's were in my backyard, a dude from CO and a chick from MI won the individual titles. They were both unbelievable runners, but no one expected the MI girl to win. She was shorter than most of the other runners, but you could tell she had so much heart that she was not going to be denied.
Stanford edged out Arkansas for the men's title and Vilanova won the women's.
I had forgotten that they would only let you coach DivII. Sorry to bring up a touchy subject.

Ha! Yeah, DII's the only game in town here! We go to Colorado and run the Rocky Mountain Shootout every year. It's a tough one especially at 5,000 feet. We're at 3,200' here and are usually the only team coming from below 5,000' at that meet!

Many of the high-altitude teams suffer here. KU tries to take its team a few days ahead to the high altitudes for a little acclimation. What is the rule about elevation and sanctioned meets?
Dunadan
9:44:52 AM
7/31/03

There's an NCAA Championship rule that says you can't have the regional or national meet at a site over 3,200' (at least in DII)

The thing about altitude adjustment, however, is that it can take up to 6 weeks to acclimate. You actually run yourself down in the first few days, so it's better to just show up and run ASAP before your hemoglobin starts dropping.

Thanks for the info. I can go to work now, knowing something new. So, up to six weeks, you could just be giving yourself a headache?
Dunadan

Yup, you have to give yourself a few weeks.

And the aorta still works!
I would love to see a tie. Then we could have a run-off.
Dunadan

I don't usually wear a tie while running - I prefer a more casual look....
