Pt. Reyes bag night

“I put my neck out and dropped a whole $12 into a reservation at Wildcat campground for Sunday nite March 23. Up to six people can go so that leaves 5. Anyone interested in a 6.3 mile hike to the campsite out of Bear Valley (Ranger Station).Ranger suggests not leaving cars at Palomarin because of breakins and smashed windows lately. The site is next to being on the beach. Beach fires permited but at campsite only backpack stoves. Lots of day hike ops. and general meet and greet. Sorry I work Saturdays so had to plan Sunday.”

“Have to work that weekend, also killed my participation inthe Sierra Snowshoe weekend trip, I am truly heartbroken, sob sob.

What a cool place, go solo if your have to, you won't regret it!”

“Oh yea I can do it alone but was just seeing if any others in the North state here had time on my odd days off.”

“I just got back from Pt. Reyes 15 minutes ago. Went out to the Pierce Pt Tr to take pictures of the Elk hoping for some dramatic skies. I think I got some good pics but got thouroughly soaked on the walk out.

At Wildcat, the best side trip is, of course, Allamere Falls, about a mile and a half down the beach. When I was there in November, I saw 4 Bobcats and in one 10 minute span, saw a bobcat just outside of camp, a Raccoon waiting for it's opportunity and a large buck and doe stroll through.”

“I hope the rain will be over by then. We got a lot of heavy downpours last nite. I know what the snow shoers will be doing next weekend.”

“I have sundays off, however I must get some things done around the house that need doing on my day off. Otherwise I would join ya.”
