I think it'll happen tomorrow, but today is possible.

I'll be thinking good thoughts for our soldiers. Those of you who are in the military or have sons, daughters, or other relatives in the military should be proud.

Get Real
I know that you folks are just joking around and some of you will complain that I should lighten up, but I have former students and brothers of students of mine who are there. Their parents aren't holding silly contests about the start date of the possible death of their sons, or for that matter some Iraqi parent's son. Neither am I. As this thing gets started I will be in quiet contemplation of those kids. What do you win?

I suppose we should be proud, but it's shame that it had to come to this and that a peaceful solution didn't happen.

Very soon, the UN inspecters have been told to get the **** out by bush.

I don't see anything immoral with merely guessing when we'll attack. For me it helps to mentally prepare for what's ahead.

And I don't want to speak for bacpac or fight a battle for him, but he has mentioned before that he has a son in the Marines, and bacpac is a former Marine himself.

Studying significant events in history can be fascinating.

Living through those events can be very painfull or even fatal to those involved.

I see nothing to celebrate.

Artex, I know with Ice it is easy to discount trhese things, but he did have a comma between "Very soon" and "The UN inspectors". :)

Actually, the WAR has already been happening for 12 years. We have had fighters over Irag this entire time and have fired missles at Radar sites from time to time. I think we fired at one just last week. But a new CAMPAIGN will start soon.

I agree with Sassafras. We might lauch cruise missiles before then, but thats when the main bombing will begin.

And, I dont think there is anything immoral either. Sometimes the best way to deal with a bad situation is to joke about it. Kinda keeps it from getting to overcome with it all. Im in the Army and it doesnt bother me.

Well said JO. When war becomes a spectator sport, we have truly digressed to all time lows.

I don't think guessing a start date is at all comparable to viewing the war as a spectator sport, but I do respect what JO said. There are different ways of dealing with horrible situations.

And by the way I respect what Troll420 said, too.

(Yuck...respecting a troll.....)

My wife started crying when she heard the news, my unit is not expected to deploy anywhere but she is frightend anyway. As for myself, I just want the whole thing to be done with, NOW!
I hope it is a fast war with few casulties.

It looks to me like tomorrow night would be the earliest and probably Wednesday night the latest. Check out the story on CNN about Bush addressing nation and arms inspectors needing 24 to 48 hours to clear out of Iraq.

I agree with Sass, on everything she said. The planes might go in soon, but our troops will not go in until we have the best night situation. Today is a full moon (no, not jerbear...). The new moon starts on 4/1.

I was wondering.

In 2002 there were alot of people that were in fav of Bush.
Now 2003 the same people that were in fav of Bush, have your view change about him at all?

1. do you still support him?

2. would you vote for him again knowing what has been going on this past year?

3.
will you vote for him if he runs again?
