line up!
Time to celebrate our Irish heritage, folks! I hope everyone is wearing green and planning to comsume only beer, potatoes, and Lucky Charms today. YAY!

Also, I hope everyone will make a commitment not to perpetuate Irish stereotypes, starting today. Thank you.

I wish! I only have a "Irish I had a Schlitz" t-shirt. Pug Mahon's is the place to be here today. They're having corned beef with boiled potatos.

I ate my corned beef yesterday (BTW, corned beef is NOT irish, it's a jewish food, lol. Lamb would really be more appropriate) and have my grren on.

I am wearing green, not that I am going anywhere....so don't ask me why I do wear green.

took my kids forever this morning to pick out something green. They are both terrified of getting pinched. LOL

The Israelites ate lamb too didn't they?

Ireland, where the focus is more on the drink and the music, than on the food.

Makes sense to me. I've heard of (and visited once or twice) Irish Pubs. I haven't heard of restaurants specializing in "Irish Cuisine."

I stayed out too late last night. I feel a little green this morning. Trying to struggle through a con call with corporate brass. I am very thankful this is not a video conference.

Scared for life
When I was in about 3rd grade I was pinched by some stinkin boy on St Paddy's Day. It left a scar on my right hand below my thumb...I EVEN HAD GREEN ON!!! Now he could have gotten pinched first...but I'm getting old an my memory is failing ;) Not my fault he didn't have green on!

Hey, check out the festivities at the M&M Bar in the Butte, MT, the Irish capital of the west! This is a classic. They're still having breakfast, but it should liven up as the day progresses. Right now some girl is holding up her phone number. I don't see Newgirl, so she's probably still home.

yeah, I went to the one in Fairfax. you didn't miss much really. I find that firm's sales a bit crap. The only good deal seemed to be if I was a extra small woman who needed a marmot precip.... unfortunatley I think it may have only fitted my arm. So how was your weekend anyway?

my condolances on not being an extra-small woman. ;-) my weekend was good! i went hiking at Annapolis Rocks, MD...ever been there? i got about halfway up the trail, when it turned to solid, packed snow! i was surprised...i didn't think there'd be any left. did you have a good one?

"Since when is beef kosher?..."

since it was prepared according to Jewish law. Perhaps you're thinking of shellfish? That's never kosher.

Pastrami is also jewish, and virtually the same thing as corned beef, just peppered.

Here's another bit of trivia for you all: traditionally only Catholics wore green on St Patrick's day, Protestants wore orange.

I get pinched, too. I had lunch with the president of the company and one of my clients. I have nothing green that was dressy enough for the occassion!
