Are they starting to shoot up anywhere?

Also, I'm concerned over propane. I've been trying to wait until winter's end to refill, hopefully at a lower price. BUT.... if war forces all prices up...... *sigh*

lizs - my little sister was in the propane biz. They sold out to a bigger outfit for much $.
Their prices would go up or down according to what they had to pay per 10,000 gal tanker truck load.
Some small outfits will have cheaper propane in their bulk tanks and might still have a lower price. Call around for prices if you have mult outfits in your area.

Corporate Jerks!
Just after 9/11, Flying J Corp., who has a string of truck stops across the West, steeply raised prices and handed out flyers claiming that their suppliers at west coast ports had been threatened by attack and lead to shortages. Their story was found to be false and the company got nailed in their lie and issued an apology. If I boycott anyone these days, it's those guys! I don't care if I'm driving on fumes in the middle of Wyoming- I'll never stop there again.

Gee, I hope gas prices decline before next Summer's "Westward, Ho!" roadtrip...

A day before war they said on the news the gas prices dropped 10%. Not sure if this was only here in SC. Did not get my butt out of the house, so I don't know. Ahhh, that reminds me, I have to get a life.

Didja ever notice that when oil price just start to inch upwards they crank the gas prices through the roof? But when oil prices have plummeted in the past week (down $5 a barrel I heard) the gas prices mysteriously stay up where they are or even go higher. It's a racket, folks, get used to it....

There has been talk lately in the news about prices of crude going down. They make it sound like it is plummetting. I see a difference of a few cents over a period of weeks. It is still way higher than they make it out to be. I don't know about where you folks live but here, its...

The pump price goes up fast, but down slow. It's called soaking it up. People are over the sticker shock and back to buying gas as usual. It's all about the money honey!

Down to $1.39 and falling here in Central Texas. The Flying J on I-35 is kept honest by the mega Pilot truck stop a few exits south.

Did anyone see that email flying around about which US companies import oil from where overseas? The jist of it is to point out which big oil corps rely on foreign (middle east) oil and which ones use stuff from good ol US of A. Good reading and the info checks out on the Dept of Energy's website too...

It gives names and # of barrels imported and locations.

I have it if anyone is interested -

My guess is the state tax on gas in CA is higher than any other state in the union.

I think it is roughly $0.30 here in WY.

Don't they produce special gas for CA, too? That jacks the price some I'd bet.
