“The French are very proud of their military heritage, which stems from the days of Napoleon and 50 years later with Napoleon III, at which time they kicked ass all over the continent. Their losing streak started when they picked a fight with Prussia and had their ass handed to them, as the Prussians had been organizing, and they marched right in to Paris in about 1880. They did it again in WWII, and almost did it in WWI. Don't ask how they are doing lately, like the last century.”
