Creme Brulee

“Ah, that caramelized crust of sugar, so crunchy and delicious. The creme underneath, so light and tasty! The perfect end to a sumptuous dinner.”

“If we introduced Crème Brule to every American crackhead they would turn their crack torches to IT rather than the pipe.

“i've never had it, but if Gelatinous Mist likes it, it MUST be good.”

“Never had it....is this gonna be the spring version of the fall type pies thread?”

“backpacker mag had a trail recipe a couple of months back for tiramisou (sp?) I keep telling myself that I'm going to try it.”

“You've never had it Lyra? - you must go buy some today!!!”

“well, i've already had a chocolate muffin the size of my head today, so perhaps it can wait until tomorrow.

“Creme brulee is easy to make. It'll give me a chance to test out the blow torch I got for CHristmas. Restaurants often use a blow torch rather than a broiler these days. It's much faster.”

“yeah, it should be in there in the single man's bag of tricks to wow the ladies”

“well, i was talking about a romantic evening with just you and the desert. hee hee hee, i'm cracking myself up!”

“yes, thank you! lots of debauchery and hiking, so i would say it was da bomb. :-) and yours?”

“debauchery, I remember that. It was quiet really, just me and the Creme Brulee
Scouted out bits of Maryland Sunday though. Need to get to know that area a bit better.”

“oh yeah? where'd you go? we'll have to go on a dayhike soon!”

“yeah, gotto get out and about here. I went up to, what's it called, big lake thingy, Liberty lake, up near Baltimore, and then to the Patuxant (sp?) river park.”

“cool beans...i've never been to either. was it nice?”

“yeah, it looked ok, everything is still pretty well in winter mode though, can't wait for the leaves to start bursting out. I didn't go very far from the car. It was more a trip for me to get an idea what the area was like, as apart from heading up I-95 I've got no idea about these places, what the terrain is like, anything really.”
