I saw the review on that Rei tent and lots of people were saying it had small leaks in it.

BTW, Ped, I was eyeing that Roadster. Really neat design! I like the way the fly works, too.

I saw a Roadster in person and was not impressed, IMHO.

I just got a hennessey. $49US. It's a clearance of last year's model. And the girl at hennessey says me & the kid can both fit in it! No time to set it up yet, but upon inspection in the livingroom, it is bigger looking than I expected. & smaller packing too.

Well it'll be interesting to see how the roadster works on the trail. With a Hennessey and a Zoid, I'm set for solo camping (unless I decide to solo overnight in serious winter conditions). I may try tarping it someday too.

REI dividend, 10% off for using it, and a gift certificate add up to a new Mountain Hardware PCT one person tent, for me. REI Tempe had one set up with only the fly and the ground cloth, sort of a "minimal" shelter option. It has the features I've no idea what the weight savings would be in that configuration. Anyway, I checked it out, it is a couple pounds lighter than my old Kelty Zen, and has the same features. I had to order it because they were down to only the display model, hopefully it will be here by the time we head up to Thunder River. Review when I get home.

I put my Zeus Exo to the test this weekend in Nordhouse Dunes and it was great.

I highly recomend this tent.

Thanks Mike! I just ordered a MSR Micro Zoid. If you haven't figured it out by my trail name, I was with you, Gary and Scott March 1 & 2. I hope to be back by the end of April.
