“I'm headed for Devils Postpile for ski patrol during the Easter Holidays to help keep Devils Postpile safe for "whatever". Are you guy's going to be at Mammath over Easter?”

“Yes! We'll be there!”

“Great! I'll be staying at Devils Postpile the 17-22 skiing boundary patrol than I'm taking 23-25 to ski Mammoth. Maybe see you on the Mountain. Which runs do you guys ride the most? Is there Thai food in the village?”

“Dang, we're only up on the weekends. If you're on the mountain, we use 2-way radios. That's one way to contact us. We normally ride the top (Climax/Dropout/Wipout/Monument/Paranoids) or Lincoln Mtn (Avys). Depends on conditions. We've done Tamarack several times this year, and finally got to do the Sherwins on our honeymoon!

The best Thai place (Karlota's) moved from Mammoth when we got off the JMT. We salivated while talking about our first meal after 30 days on the trail, and when we drove up to it and it was GONE! It was there when we left in June, but gone by Sept. There's a small place called "Thai'd Up" that's ok (past theater on Old Mammoth Rd).”

“O'well, I'm sure I'll run into you guys this summer. I'll be in the Roaring River area alot this summer. Probably a Florence Lake to Cedar Grove trip too. Bummer about the Thai food. Don't have any Thai up here. I CRAVE Thai food! Again, if you two are planning on any west side trips, I Live in Grant Grove only a stones through Cedar Grove and lots of trail heads.

Western Kitchen in Bishop has good Thai food. In the register of Mt Tom, someone wrote that they were going to Western Kitchen for Thai food. By the time we got there it was closed.

We'll be doing Sierrapalooza June 3-7.”
