And of course it'll be equipted with the Chuck Berry Pooper Cam.” 12:37:22 PM 5/10/04 “I think I'd rather dig a hole than empty that thing.” 12:38:50 PM 5/10/04 “I 2nd that, bit.” 12:39:35 PM 5/10/04 “you could also rent it out for concert quickies. Hang a sign on it that says, "Phuck Hut". Could get confusing though. LOL! I have a second hand set of K Mart clubs...and my game shows it! My wife's pastor asked me what my last score was and I told him 99. "That's awesome!" he says. I said, "Yeah, too bad it was for just 9 holes!".” 3:37:49 PM 5/10/04 “I have a set of Wilson Fat Shafts I can sell you Nigal :) I had my old Service Merchandise Wilson Pro Staff clubs stolen from my car port about 3 weeks ago. I went out and bout two sets of irons (Wilson Fat Shafts, the KZG's), traded a flash card for the Tight Lies fairway woods, and picked up the Big Bertha for $40 shipped and the Adams river for $45 shipped. :D I originally bought the Fat Shafts because I didn't think I could afford the clubs I really wanted (the KZG's). I got a GREAT deal on the KZG's now I have an extra set of irons.” 4:01:54 PM 5/10/04 IMetMyWifeAtAConcert............ILetHerUseMyToilet “Plus he'll score big with the ladies if he lets them use his shower. Sassafras 12:28:45 PM 05/10/04 WOW Sass, I never thought of that but I'll bet your right. I'll definitly have to work that angle. lol ;) And wrt the toilet, I'm plan on buying a roll of plastic kitchen garbage bags...one per dump per person. Come to think of it, I should tell those I'm camping with to bring some for themselves. 3 1/2 more weeks!!!” 6:30:53 PM 5/10/04 “oh my goodies, buddur! lol I bought a new tent and got such a deal. I've got a trip coming up for which I'll be sharing a tent w/ a friend for 10 days. And, seeing as how we're both single, neither of us owns a two-person tent. So, I bought the REI Half Dome 2 for $109 when REI had it on sale. Here it is set up in my living room w/out the fly. It has two doors and two vestibules of the same size. And, it has a window so the big grizzly bears can check us out before they eat us. Full report of the tent after I get a chance to use it.” 6:41:29 PM 5/10/04 Wow, I'm Single Too...........Hey Wha'Da'Ya Say We “Do I see a new Z-Rest in the tent, Tarabull. lol The bear was checking it out too.” 7:22:31 PM 5/10/04 “Yup. That's the Z-Lite :-)” 7:28:47 PM 5/10/04 “My Silnylon add-a-beak came in today. 1.8oz and came with 20ft of kevlar cord. ”9:53:34 PM 5/10/04 Whoo Hoo....new gear! “Well sort of. How could you restrain from priority shipping?” 7:44:02 PM 5/11/04 my campmor order! “May 12, 2004 8:15 A.M. FT. PIERCE, FL, US OUT FOR DELIVERY” 7:54:07 AM 5/12/04 “Got my fishing rod holder from Bass Pro last night. It clamps right to the side of my canoe. Can't wait to do a little trolling for brookies up at Cedar River Flow this Memorial Day.” 7:56:44 AM 5/12/04 “I also got a box of Enertia Food from Binks yesterday. 6 Switchback Spagetti's and 6 allegany alfredo's....mmmm-good” 7:59:14 AM 5/12/04 “i have to tell you, I am itching to go to the local gear store, but I HAVE to hold up until trail days.... a couple more days and i can put a valid post on to this thread.” 8:20:07 AM 5/12/04 Gem “Ya got some cash burning a hole in yer pocket ??? :-)” 8:21:13 AM 5/12/04 “Lowe Alpine Ophir, red. 4 lb 3 oz! 3700 cu in. two of those platypus bottles that lay flat and roll up empty and a platypus "Hoser" 2 litre bottle. some new Duofold undies too.” 3:38:33 PM 5/12/04 “You should have said something Roam... Oh yeah, new gear... I finally visited the closest REI to me. Unfortunately, it only took me an hour to get there. That means I'll be spending more time, and $$$ there. I bought my 4th pair of Lowa Renegades last night. I love these boots to death, but I wear the soles out fast and they're not as stiff as I would like them to be. Well....... the 2004 model sports a vibram sole! Woohoo! A more durable and stiffer sole, with the same low weight and super comfort. I'm in boot heaven! Oh yeah, while I was there I picked up some odds and ends: Thermarest Pro 4 regular sleeping pad, new hat, buzz off bandana, tie lines, fasteners, filter cartridge, tent stakes, nalegene, etc etc etc... *sigh*” 8:57:20 PM 5/13/04 “Pennsy, I bet a cobbler could put some nice vibram soles on your old boots providing the material is suitable for sewing. We swapped out soles often in the service, sometimes on new boots.” 9:29:49 PM 5/13/04 “Birch - unfortunately, the Renegades aren't resoleable. My heart stopped for a minute beause the sales guy thought the new ones might be. He checked and they aren't. My other Lowas are resoleable but not nearly as comfy as the Renegades. Oh well. Thanks for the thought though.” 10:05:56 PM 5/13/04 “Pennsy proves once again that he is the ultimate gear slut. He's my idol.” 7:22:28 AM 5/14/04 “The soles of lightweight Lowa boots don't seem too durable. My Lowa Tanark's soles wore down pretty fast, but the Tanark boots are resoleble.” 7:37:10 AM 5/14/04 “Mountain Hardwear Kiva Tent ! ! This is just in time for Bug Season ! ! This will be my FYAO Tent.” 8:22:38 AM 5/20/04 “There ya go! I'm getting a two man tent for Windorama and have already bought new boots. I'll still be bivying at FYAO, however.” 8:24:57 AM 5/20/04 “The ranger in Rocky Mountain NP said I'd need snowshoes this weekend, so I bought a pair of MSR Denalis. This flatlander has never used snowshoes, so it should be fun.” 8:28:22 AM 5/20/04 “The Kiva is a three-man bivy. I need new snowshoes for next winter.” 10:12:42 AM 5/20/04 “I just got back from REI's sale and I am broke. I bought a floor pump and a smaller pump to attach to my bike, a lock for bike, new boots, maps, books and the Garcia Bear container.” 3:59:31 PM 5/21/04 That Baby Is Sweeeeeet...............And Bombproof 4:59:54 PM 5/22/04 “nice buddur. I'm sure that's where all the chicks will be.” 11:50:03 PM 5/22/04 “a shower mat???? lol” 11:53:51 PM 5/22/04 12:12:32 AM 5/23/04 “Picked up a Primus Coffee & Tea Kettle from EMS for $14.95. Made of anodized aluminum. Weight 5.5 oz. Holds .9L.” 10:07:30 AM 5/24/04 “Zac is that the tall skinny one or the one that looks like a tea pot?” 10:12:15 AM 5/24/04 “tea pot” 10:50:45 AM 5/24/04 “I have one of those, it boils water great. The large surface area seems to let it really heat up fast” 4:08:18 PM 5/24/04 “I have done it! I have done what no scientist has ever been able to do! I have discovered a secret to bend time and space. I can single-handedly cause time to slow to a crawl. I ordered a ULA P-2 pack and sense then time has slowed and I don’t think delivery day will EVER get here.” 9:09:31 AM 5/26/04 “What” 9:14:18 AM 5/26/04 Jump to Page << prev
