They was reduced and one was marked wrong, so I got one for $9, the other for $17 something.

Got some GUI engergy gels. I really like them the best. They last forever anyway, so I don't have to order them any time soon.

“I got mine at an Army surplus store. backcountry-equipment has them. Kevlar is the trade name for Aramid... so you might have more luck looking for Aramid re-enforced shoe strings if you can't find one that says "Kevlar". Kevlar,
Technora, Twaron, same difference. They are all Aramid. Kevlar is just the most name brand recognized.”

Oh well, still can't really complain about the price we paid since the bags are going new now for $299.”

You bought a Sierra Designs Ultra Flash Tent from me. It's the ultra-lightweight version of the popular Clip Flashlight.
WAY lighter and much more expensive that an ordinary Clip Flashlight. ;-)

I thought Cheri would really have a tough time getting in and out because of the top mounted 1/4 length zipper, but she ended up finding it to be real easy (at least in the controlled conditions of the family room) we'll have to see how it is in a small tent on a rainy and windy night. She also did say that she really likes the cut of the hood and the amount of interior space at the shoulders and hips (the small size fits to 5'6)”

My new Lake MX 165 MTB shoes were delivered yesterday

I bought all sorts of web type stuff (mandatory climbing gear) and three sweet auto-locking caribiners for my event this weekend.

But the biggest gear score of the day was at REI! I neeed a few small things to replenish my gear list and lo and behold! Those tiny rolls of Charmin encapsulated in plastic. The best for backpacking, racing and long training days. The grocery stores in my town haven't sold them since last year. Cha Ching! I left one on the hook just to be nice. I'm geeked, and supplied for the year!”
