Asparagus Piss

It still amazes me how badly my piss smells after eating asparagus. Had some asparagus last night. Grilled up some meat. Lovely. But man, I go and drain it before hitting the sack and my head just recoils because of how badly my wizz smells. So I understand that the green stuff has this super-high concentration of one vitamin or another. B12? I don't know, whatever. I love asparagus. And, quite frankly, I'm a fan of my bad-smelling piss that night and the day after. Taking a leak is so boring. Oh, wow. My piss is super yellow today. I've either taken an extra vitamin or am dehydrated. Ohhhh. Clear. I'm drinking a lot of water. Whoop-dee doo. But the asparagus piss, now that is a good one. Not really sure what to compare it to. For those of you who take are familiar with the concept you know what I'm talking about. There really is no comparison. I mean, it's asparagus piss. Not too many things you encounter in your daily life where you can say, "Aha! Now that smells exactly like asparagus piss!"

The asparagus piss is the only time going pee is cool. You just never know how bad it's gonna be. Those first 24 hours after downing a big plate of asparagus is a fun time. For me, anyway. Peeing is actually an adventure. I would think it might be a tough time for the ladies being so close to the source when you have to sit to pee. (Ladies, seriously, be honest. You have to admit that peeing while standing up is rather cool. Having a weiner, even a small one, is cool. C'mon, Freud knows you want to say it, so say it!) Like when I'm at the urinal or bowl firing off an asparagus piss, I can turn my head or step away from the bowl a few feet to distance myself from the stream of death spouting from my dong. With mobility being so restricted, the asparagus piss has to be a tough one for the ladies."”

Funny, I re-read the message. I have those same shoes (Hurricane Ridge GTX) and I love them. My feet do get wet in them, but they are a good match for me if I am not worrieda bout ankle support.

I don't even know if that shoe is built on a last ... I think so.

In any case you might be able to get a new pair of shoes out of Montrail ... those suckers are expensive shoes! :)

“I love my Aether 60 so I thought I'd stick with Osprey again for my new pack, the Atmos 50. 2lbs 13oz, 3000ci which is 11oz lighter and 700ci smaller. I got this one because of the features. I really like the AirSpeed Suspension and the way the pack isn't against your back. I also like having pockets on the outside and there are three, two zippered. And then one of the cooler features is two hipbelt pockets, perfect for my camera. Gonna test it out this weekend. I'll probably have to change my packing technique a bit as this pack is 700ci smaller, but I've been buying some UL gear lately that takes up less space and does more.

They also had the Marmot Lithium 0F Down Sleeping bag (2lbs, 900down) for $300 on sale...I would have probably bought it too but they only had regular :-(

WK, I'll be there so long as I don't get switched to first shift which I've been trying to get on for a year and they said it would happen next month,probably towards the end. So should be no worries. Sherbear, Brad and I areplanning on coming, maybe Troy too.

Ox, I think I'll like it too...just packed it for the weekend...weighing in at around 28lbs with food and water, which is about 7lbs better than usual. Had to drop some stuff since I have a smaller pack now.

“So right after getting my boots stolen (right in the outside hallway of my apt while drying mud off of them -- and, only the upstairs neighbors and the super have access to the foyer other than us -- go figure), I've replaced my boots with a pair of REI Monarch III's (made by Merrell) with GoreTex.

I'm not looking forward to having to break in boots yet again so soon, as I just bought the other boots recently, but they do already feel more comfortable than the EMS Dry Hikers did. I don't know if they'll give me the same support though; we'll have to see...

I was also gonna try out a pair of Vasques at Blue Ridge Mountain Sports and take the Monarchs back if the Vasques feel better, but I'll see...

In the meantime, wahoo! New Gear! ...I guess...
