“Where are you going again? Smokies? I don't know about the tick situation there this time of the year, but they are starting to come out in other places. Also, it will be a little cooler there than down at say, Savage Gulf. I think I'd go with a floored shelter anyway.”

“I had 23 ticks in me one time after a hunting trip. Not crawling around me, but actually imbedded in me. No big deal, you just pull them out and make sure you grab them near their heads. If you pull out their body's and the head stays in, you could get high fever, or so I've heard.”

“Travel plans have been confirmed... Flying down to TN on Thursday evening. Leaving on Monday morning. I'm renting a car on Monday and driving to my KY meetings on Tuesday. I'll drive home from there.

“ok here we go reservations were pretty slim but I have reservations for 4. we're staying at campsite 35 on friday night and campsite 37 on saturday night.

Park at the Big creek area. Exit 451 off of I-40

Best way for Friday night is take the Chestnut Branch Trail then turn left on the AT and then right on the Lower Mount Cammerer Trail til you come to campsite 35.

We have a few different options on getting to campsite 37 for saturday night. and a couple of options to get back to the parking lot on sunday.”

“Fooey - I was hoping y'all would join me and Azimuth. Doing Eagle Creek/Jenkins Ridge. Having lunch as Spence Field. Would join you all, but we had our hearts set on these trails. I also told a few thru-hikers I met over the weekend at Standing Indian Mountain/AT that I would log inspirations for them at the Spence Field shelter!

“I'm here. Hiking was blast. Nashville is great. Temps are nice. Everything is soooooo green.

Easter dinner rocked. The Nashville TTers are AWESOME!!!

Meetings end on Wed PM so I'll be home on Thursday. I'll post an actual report then. Hopefully, I'll have my digital camera software figured out so I can post some pics from the hike.

yam - you are soooo full of it. I did not leave any mud in your HamMOCK. I sure left lots in Binks' sink, tho, after he cleaned the mud off my sandals. lol
