New England Trails, a new site
There is a new site that just open on the web. It is called New England Trails. It is designed for anyone interested in Hiking, backpacking, Canoeing or kayaking. It offers a bulletin style message center. Here is a list of the options that it offers.

Forums = posting public messages.

Calendar = scheduling events publicly.

Voting booths = posting vote able questions.

Search tool = for searching all messages on the site. This can be useful for finding a particular subject, phrase or word.

Member listing = list of all members.

PM’s = posting private messages to other members.
And much more so go over and check it out and give the site a chance and help kick it off to a good start.

Photo gallery = for posting your photo’s of trips, favorite views, or creating a private photo gallery.

It was designed in hopes to enhance and help you to find friends and comrades to enjoy outdoor activities with and share information on what ever you wish.

This is not a troll
Hey guys, I wanna vouch for this guy. He's a good friend. He is not a "troll". That is his trail name. As kids, he was often called Troll as his name is similar in sounding.

Obviously, from the sounds of his post, he's not trolling. He is pretty savy with websites. But the main reason for this site is to provide a forum for New Englanders to chat about the trails in New England. We're hoping for a good forum for detailed info in this area on several subjects. We aren't looking to proseltize or win you over from this site or any other.

Check it out, please.

Interesting that you cannot do anything on this site until "authorized." I tried to send an e-mail to the admin via the contact link on the site, but the recipient name is not recognized...hmmmm

From the site:
You may not post new threads
You may not post replies
You may not post attachments
You may not edit your posts

Now, that's useful.

Yup, it always those pesky users. I'd use it if I could, but I can't. If a user cannot use the site, is he/she really a "user"?

I had no trouble with it - I clicked to register and it's running fine for me.

Maybe that's the problem. I do not have access to the e-mail address I registered under right now. Maybe an e-mail was sent that I had to reply to.

..and I never got an e-mail. Oh well, maybe I'll attempt to create another account.
