That seems to be the tenor of the posts I've been reading lately. It's nice to be associated with so many illuminati, me being an ignorant feller who could stand some enlightenment.

The arguments are so powerfully persuasive that I can't figure out whether the right wing is right or the left wing. I'm sure if I was smarter I could probably figure it out, but all the arguments I read just amaze me with their profundity and, well, common sense.

World views have little to do with brains, I think. People just are or aren't conservative or liberal in thought and philosophy.

It seems to me that everything else stems from that.

Well... as you've discovered, there is still a 'post a thread' option. You could use it to start a conversation that interests you and ignore the threads that don't, or you could use it to start a thread to try to stifle discussions that others apparently find interesting by use of sarcasm to insult their intellect. You decide which is more fulfilling for you.

You asked for it!
I've got a beef with Geobeet. Here's the story: If Geobeet continues to pooh-pooh the concerns of others, I will sincerely be obliged to do something about him. And you know me: I, hardheaded cynic that I am, never neglect my obligations. I recently informed him that his rank-and-file followers funnel significant amounts of money to birdbrained postmodernist-types. Geobeet said he'd "look further into the matter." Well, not too much further; after all, every time Geobeet tries, he gets increasingly successful in his attempts to condition the public to accept violence as normal and desirable. This dangerous trend means not only death for free thought, but for imagination as well. Although theoretical differences can be drawn between his resentful slogans and soulless onanism, these are distinctions without a difference. Geobeet ignores the most basic ground rule of debate. In case you're not familiar with it, that rule is: attack the idea, not the person. Time cannot change his behavior. Time merely enlarges the field in which Geobeet can, with ever-increasing intensity and thoroughness, paralyze any serious or firm decision and thereby become responsible for the weak and half-hearted execution of even the most necessary measures.

Viewing all this from a higher vantage point, we can see that the first response to this from his factotums is perhaps that parasitic, ribald sybarites have dramatically lower incidences of cancer, heart attacks, heart disease, and many other illnesses than the rest of us. Wrong. Just glance at the facts: I, for one, have to laugh when he says that the best way to make a point is with foaming-at-the-mouth rhetoric and letters filled primarily with exclamation points. Where in the world did he get that idea? Not only does that idea contain absolutely no substance whatsoever, but a great many of us don't want him to dig a grave in which to bury liberty and freedom. But we feel a prodigious pressure to smile, to be nice, and not to object to his gin-swilling, heinous hastily mounted campaigns. Should someone think that I am saying too much, I am not saying too much, but much too little. For if you look back over some of my older letters, you'll see that I predicted that Geobeet would introduce changes without testing them first. And, as I predicted, he did. But you know, that was not a difficult prediction to make. Anyone who has bothered to learn even a little about Geobeet could have made the same prediction.

The problem with him is not that he's misguided. It's that he wants to seek temporary tactical alliances with drugged-out, untrustworthy insane-types in order to identify political and religious groups that are his political enemies and re-label them as "sinister cult leaders" in order to justify operations against them. I find Geobeet's refrains highly insulting. Why? That's easy. Geobeet's lies come in many forms. Some of his lies are in the form of ultimata. Others are in the form of nostrums. Still more are in the form of folksy posturing and pretended concern and compassion. I have now said everything there is to say. So, to summarize it all, corporatism can not and must not be tolerated.

Study: Uneducated Outbreeding Intelligentsia 2-To-1
CHICAGO—In a report with dire implications for the intellectual future of America, a University of Chicago study revealed Monday that the nation's uneducated are breeding twice as soon and twice as often as those with university diplomas. "The average member of the American underclass spawns at age 15, compared to age 30 for the average college-educated professional," study leader Kenneth Stalls said. "America's intellectual elite, as a result, is badly losing the genetic marathon, with two generations of dullards born for every one generation of cultured literates." Added Stalls: "At this rate, by the year 2100 there will be five smart people on Earth, swallowed whole by more than 12 billion mouth-breathers incapable of understanding the binary exponentiation that swamped the Earth with their like." High-school dropout Mandi Drucker, 16, said of the findings, "All I know is, we're in
love."

You are, I'm sure, well aware that Geobeet's refrains are a parody of original thought. But did you know that Geobeet has no right to be here?

Before I say anything else, let me remind Geobeet that I once told him that when I first realized that he has gone around the bend with his paranoia, a cold shudder ran down my back. How did he respond to that? He proceeded to curse me off using a number of colorful expletives not befitting this forum, which serves only to show that Geobeet says that his vices are the only true virtues. What he means by this, of course, is that he wants free reign to pigeonhole people into predetermined categories.

He is like a pigeon. Pigeons are too self-absorbed to care about anyone else. They poo on people they don't like; they poo on people they don't even know.

Despite the fact that Geobeet is obviously hiding something, Geobeet's slurs are based on hate. Hate, Marxism, and an intolerance of another viewpoint, another way of life. Geobeet harbors persistent and inappropriate anger. Never forget that and never let him stigmatize any and all attempts to act honorably.

I am writing to express my dismay and concern over Geobeet's treasonous drug-induced ravings. For openers, everything Geobeet tells you is a lie. That shouldn't surprise you when you consider that he not only lies, but he brags about his lying to his cronies. He should work with us, not step in at the eleventh hour and hog all the glory. Geobeet asserts that anyone who disagrees with him is ultimately empty-headed. That assertion is not only untrue, but a conscious lie. Only gruesome dopeheads ever believe that his viewpoints are "grandly compelling", "articulate and persuasive", or "a vital contribution". I've said that before and I've said it often, but perhaps I haven't been concrete enough or specific enough, so now I'll try to remedy those shortcomings. I'll try to be a lot more specific and concrete when I explain that he should think about how his grievances lead ethically bankrupt fomenters of revolution to inflict untold misery, suffering, and distress. If Geobeet doesn't want to think that hard, perhaps he should just keep quiet.

It may sound strange to him when I say that it is not too far-fetched to claim that we can see the damage that is done when he tries to remake the world to suit his own ghastly needs, but I have never been in favor of being gratuitously conceited. I have also never been in favor of sticking my head in the sand or of refusing to take off the kid gloves and vent some real anger at Geobeet. I'm merely suggesting that he should clarify his point, so people like you and me can tell what the heck he's talking about. Without clarification, his vaporings sound lofty and include some emotionally charged words but don't really seem to make any sense. Now that I've stated that, allow me to say that Geobeet possesses no significant intellectual skills whatsoever and has no interest in erudition. Heck, he can't even spell or define "erudition," much less achieve it.

Since I don't know him that well, I'll have to be a bit presumptuous when I say that Geobeet will probably respond to this just like he responds to all criticism. He will put me down as "uninformed" or "impudent". That's his standard answer to everyone who says or writes anything about him except the most fawning praise. Even irritable smart alecks are ashamed of being associated with his obscene reasoning and juvenile rodomontades.

Dang, it does work.
What I offer here is an involved yet detached look at Violin's slurs. Perhaps time, further study, and more reflection will either modify or enrich the analysis offered here, but Violin has overstated his case against me by alluding to an illusory past. But first, I'm going to jump ahead a bit and talk in general terms about how for all Violin's bombast about freedom, liberty, and tolerance, he still wants to pervert human instincts by suppressing natural, feral constraints and encouraging abnormal patterns of behavior. Then, I'll back up and fill in some of the details. Okay, so to start with the general stuff, he can't attack my ideas, so he attacks me. It could be worse, I suppose. Violin could waffle on all the issues. Worst of all, our children's children would never forgive us for letting him use paid informants and provocateurs to lay waste to the environment. Let's face it: If he wants to complain, he should have an argument. He shouldn't just throw out the word "unproportionableness", for example, and expect us to be scared.

Well, Violin, we're all getting a little tired of you and your kind messing up the world and then refusing to accept responsibility for what you've done. We're fed up. And the day is coming when you'll be held accountable for your filthy credos. What happened to his common sense? The answer to this question gives the key not only to world history, but to all human culture. Experience should probably indicate that he truly believes that the kids on the playground are happy to surrender to the school bully. It is just such unstable, unctuous megalomania, rotten egoism, and intellectual aberrancy that stirs Violin to provide unforgiving conspiracies with the necessary asylum to take root and spread. As I often like to put it, I am aware that many people may object to the severity of my language. But is there no cause for severity? Naturally, I myself suspect that there is, because if we can understand what has caused the current plague of featherbrained airheads, I believe that we can then discuss the programmatic foundations of his irascible maneuvers in detail.

When I look back I think, "Violin is wrong." The notion that he can be reformed into an upright and honorable person may be a pleasant and attractive thought. But people who believe that this can happen should ask it of Santa Claus, in whom they doubtless also believe. I guess I really can't blame him for wanting to gain a virtual stranglehold on many facets of our educational system. After all, if the past is any indication of the future, he will once again attempt to befuddle the public and make sin seem like merely a sophisticated fashion.

In closing, all that I ask is that you join me to stop Violin and make this world a kinder, gentler place.
