Headed to the beach!

on that note..we'll be at the radisson in Fort Walton, FL.
Gonna do some laying out, and snorkeling...with a brisk morning and afternoon HIKE along the sugarwhite sands. Then we'll fire up the old ATM whisperdebit and dine at AJ's or other fine local seafood resturant..then off to NightTown to dance.

“I prefer the mtns too, but wind up going to the beach at least once a year to appease the Mrs. I have a yearly engineering conference that's always at the beach and that takes care of it. This year we're also sharing a condo with my wifes sister, brother-in-law, and nephew. There will be the 3 of them and the 4 in my family. Should be great fun for the kids....and beer for the parents.”

“I', gonna whine hear....winter just doesn't want to give it up here in Maine..wahhhhh It's been freezing here, it's gonna snow,freezing rain, and a mixture...all kinds of crap...I mean I don't mind winter and stuff, but it's time to give it up.

Supposed to go to a Ball game on Sunday, butttt if it doesn't warm up, I don't know if I wanna go. Anyway, when you get to the beach have a good time and send some our way will ya??? :)”

“Here are the pics! Ft. Walton Beach

Now that I have the pics up I'll go ahead and do a trip report. Opie and I arrived at the beach around 1 on Saturday. We spent the first few hours of the day laying out on the beach and swimming a little while in the water. Opie spent alot more time in the water than me because it was a little chilly! We then went and checked out pool out at the hotel which was really cool, I wish I would have taken more pictures. The hotel had a heated swimming pool and a heated lazy river. It was so relaxing laying in the warm water and floating around the lazy river! After a few hours in the lazy river we then went back to the beach and built sandcastles. It was alot of fun but OPIE's turned out alot better than mine, I didn't even bother taking a picture of mine, I had more fun knocking it down! We stayed on the beach until sunset and then we went back to our room and took a nap before we got ready for a night on the town.

Opie took me to the crab shack that was located right on the beach. MMMM eating crab legs with a view of the beach! It was very nice and the crab legs were very yummy! After the dinner we then headed to a club called Nightown. After a couple of Alabama slammer's I was feeling pretty good! We stayed at the club for a while and listened to the music and had fun hanging out and then went back to the room and went to bed.

We slept in Sunday morning and then checked out of our hotel. We went back down to the beach where I burried Opie! I tried to burry him deep enough where he couldn't get out but darn it didn't work!

I had a blast over the weekend and I can't wait to go back!”

“After our beach trip Randy took me to go see the new land he just bought! Wow! It was gorgous, flat open land, huge trees, 3 ponds, and a beaver dam! I can't wait till we have a huge house out there and we will invite you all over for a TT party!”

“Cool pictures. I just love that part of FL. Will be there 1st of June. My daugther is graduating from UT Memphis the Friday before and we are going for some sun and fun. She will be a PT something we all need after backpacking and hiking :)
