It's my Birthday and I'll cry if I want to

“Im in a funk at the moment. Its almost my Birthday (tomm.) and I have no one to hike with. My roommates are the 2 laziest people on the planet whose idea of outdoor activities is walking onto the balcony and drinking beer, and they refuse to go with me even after my offers to carry everything except their water and clothes. Anyway, Im just griping now ( Ive been out of the woods for too long and Im mad about missing the lost cove trip).”

“We are going out tonight... Sushi and drinking. The problem with hiking by myself is that its all Ive done lately. I have 9 bag nights on the year, and all but 1 is solo ( the Fiery Gizzard TT Trip is my only group outing of the year.) Dont get me wrong, going solo is great... just gets alittle stale every now and then. Thaks for the Birthday wishes though”

“Well I finally quit #&%!$ing and got outside, but only for a dayhike. I went to Kennesaw Mountain battlefield and did a 16 mile loop, which was ok (most of the trail was a race track). Anyway, thanks to everyone who put up with my whining.”

“Hey currahee, sometime in the next month or so we need to get up to Savage gulf for a couple of nights. Lemme know what you think. I would possibly be lookin at the weekend of the 26th.”

“Sounds great. I've been guttin to get down there again. Can you do weekdays?”

“weekdays would be tough... Ive got class and work. My semester ends may 12, and I might be able to swing it then if you wanted to wait that long.”
