Which thread did Binks offer his silnylon stuff bags and tarps on?
He listed sizes and prices.
I'm going to buy a water filter from him and would like to see some of the other stuff.
I have already checked his website.

I think bbinkley is doing a great job with his site. I bought 2 nalgene bottles for OPIE and myself and purchased them for a great price and they were delivered within two days.

I ordered an enertia sampler pack and OPIE bought me a pair of Komperdell - High Mountain Sports trekking poles from Brandon's site. Both items arrived in just a few days! He has a great gear store!

Just got back from shopping at Bink's Outfitters. Bought a new Exped sleeping pad. It's the real compact one. only weighs 1 pound. Can't wait to try it out. Next trip I'll post a review.

The store is comming along more everytime I go in there. He's got all kinds of racks of gear hanging up and customers seem Non-stop. On of the dudes that works there said they are getting the store next door and filling it up with stuff also.

One cent less than list price?
When did Binks start charging full price?
I guess the Gear Manufactors Mafia got to him finially! ;-)

SS, I have noticed over time his prices were more inline with the other online stores, sometimes he is even higher.

I usually buy from some other online store because I say money on not paying taxes.

If I am in his store and buy that is ok cause of no shipping charges.

But I am always on the lookout for the best deal around.

Binks Outfitters
I was very happy when Binks came to Murfreesboro. After a couple of times in the store, however, I realized that Brandon is a cocky, arrogant b^*(%$d. It's worth the drive to REI to keep from giving him my money.

Currahee, I know of at least one current TTer that dislikes Binks. Don't have a clue if that person is this troll.

I've been very happy with all my purchases from Binks.

i think he's a great guy, but being an old sales rep myself in a highly competative field i recognize him as still having a bit of that in him, he might come off a bit cocky to some...but it's just his style

I have known binks for a few years and gotta say arrogant isnt a word i'd even consider in describing him. He exemplifies the entrepeneurial spirit most folks talk idly about. In his first year of business (his online store) he became one of the top 5 or so distributors of equinox gear (his year began in march the others far earlier), he was able to turn an idea of a virtual hiking store into reality while opening his brick and mortarin murfreesboro (which required a MAJORrenovation) he recently added like 3000 more sq ft to his business and has found his future wife. I gotta say that that is a stunning record of achievement in my book. He created what most folks just talk about. Its a privelege to cal Brandon my friend.

I sense some sour grapes and bitterness. I also would bet top dollar that our new visitor is an old regular here who is quite jealous. Get over it.

Where in Murfreesboro is the b&m store? Without knowing, I'd guess north side close to MTSU? I lived there for 6 years before moving east. Get a big time craving for Camino Real every once in a while...

Binks is great. I've had a time or two where I needed something quick and he went out of the way to make sure it got sent out the same day. Birch nailed it, entrepenturial all the way.

I didn't like it when he moved to Murfreesboro. He was about 2 miles from me when we both lived in Hermitage. A lot closer trip. I usually hit his store now on the way back from any trip that takes me past M'boro.
I will agree with Opie to he can be cocky at times but then again most salesmen are.

Brandon and I wouldn't know each other if we met on the trail, but the tarp I ordered from him last year (free 3-day delivery, btw) works great, and that makes him just fine in my book.
