I ws thinking of getting a dehydrator. I know NOTHING about them , can any of you recommend a brand. Any bad experiences?

Wal-Mart's brand is as good as any, and it's cheap, and does the job nicely.

Do a search here for previous threads and you'll find a wealth of information, including some killer recipes. :-)

American Harvester is the brand to get. They have a line of models, ranging from cheap to expensive.

America Harvest is a good one. I've had mine for 7-8 years now.

Venison is great for making jerky out of. It's much leaner than beef, so there is less fat to spoil in the jerky.
