Good! Looks like ya both took my advice.

Smell the flowers while yer out.

The grass is getting green, too!!

That smell of Spring is in the air!

We've got all summer to bull#&%!$ about this. At least let's pace ourselves. You can tell everyone is burnt on the issue.

It just seems like we are more than just a few steps away from leaving there, Mutt. It seems that the mess of late is a lot more than was counted on. And we are knee-deep in it. If we left right now, it could lead to a huge civil war over there, wouldn't you think?

Boy, boys!

I am not disgruntled.
Hell, I was never really gruntled with Dubya.

Even before I read Molly Ivins' book, "Shrub; The Short Happy Political Life Of G.W. Bush",
I didn't trust this clown Bush.

"Again, I say, if Bush was this "great President", I doubt the Dems would even have a toehold on the upcoming race.”

I think it’d be hard for anyone but Rush to say he’s a “great president” because he is not without flaws. Hell, I’ll be the first one to say that, but when compared to Kerry, my gawd! He’s head and shoulders above Kerry. If given the chance to continue on with his agendas the next four years will be much better I feel.

“It's almost worth it to just give Bush another four years, so that we can have the Admin bogged down in hearings and court cases unit they find something to try and impeach him on. Boy! wouldn't the fire get going on THIS board. Whooppiiee!!”

See, this is the basic plan of the left only they aren’t willing to live another 4 years under Bush. They are looking for that silver bullet that will kill him BEFORE the election. Wouldn’t having liberals put all their cards on the table, say what they feel is best for the country and let the people decide? Nope, because what they want would never fly. This is why they HAVE to rely on the continued attacks of the Bush admin. They are not trying to take us forward or even demanding a more righteous government. They are simply lowering the bar so they look like the better alternative.

So, we haven't hit bottom yet?

Yeah, the Democratic agenda is a big secret, and they have diabolical plans for us all.......Mooooooohahahahahahaha!!

Ok. You open by mentioning the 50% of voters.

Are we on the same page so far?

If so, then you say "disgruntled, eh?'. Sorry if i thought you were referring to them.

And if not, what are you basing the fact that I am disgruntled on? I see nothing in your post that points to that. C'mon, Nigal. This is basic semantics.

Some pundit mentioned the other day that because of our invasion of Iraq, we were now de facto members of OPEC, LOL

All we need to do is accelerate the rebuilding of the Iraqi oil infrastructure. More oil hits the world market and prices fall. The Iraqi's can keep all the money --- and our investment is repaid in 6 months or less.

Unfortunately, this also increases the chances of the cretin being re-elected.

Four children shot dead in Iraq: witnesses

Four schoolchildren have been killed by gunfire in Baghdad, shortly after a roadside bomb ripped through a US military vehicle, witnesses said.

Some witnesses said the children, all aged around 12, were shot dead by US troops who had opened fire randomly after the blast on Canal Street in eastern Baghdad. At least five other people were wounded.

The children had left their nearby school to look at the burning Humvee, the witnesses said.

Children and some passersby were "celebrating" the attack near the vehicle when the deadly shots were fired.

The US military had no immediate word on the incident.

"I saw a child lying on the street with a bullet hole in his neck and another in his side," said a driver who witnessed the incident.

"He had his schoolbag on his back. Some 15 minutes later his relatives came and took his body away."

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Saying he has "firmly planted the flag of liberty," President Bush on Wednesday expounded upon themes put forth in last week's inaugural address, promising to pursue democracy in Iraq and elsewhere around the world.

Senator Kennedy has called on an immediate reduction in troops in Iraq. Last week the left was saying we did not have enough troops.

The vacuum of leadership in the Democratic party is astounding. The President has a plan for Iraq and now that it is working the Democrats do what they always do. Talk in circles and contradict themselves.

Why don't the democrats police their own and tell Teddy to shut the phuck up? They keep saying they want to work with the admin and they want to reach out to those who were alienated by the far left yet they just let the far left run crazy making their whole party look bad.

The scariest thing is to think that there actually a state full of people who look at this fat assbag every election and say, "Oh yeah, he's the one for me!" and keep him in office for the past 40 some years.

Fake Volkswagen ad from years ago

If Ted Kennedy drove a Volkswagen, he'd be President today
It floats.

The way our body is built, we'd be surprised if it didn't. The sheet of flat steel that goes underneath every Volkswagen keeps out water, as well as dirt and salt and other nasty things that can eat away at the underside of a car. So it's watertight at the bottom. And everybody knows it's easier to shut the door on a Volkswagen after you've rolled down the window a little.

That proves it's practically airtight on top. If it was a boat, we could call it the Water Bug. But it's not a boat, it's a car.

And, like Mary Jo Kopechne, it's only 99 and 44/100 percent pure. So it won't stay afloat forever. Just long enough. Poor Teddy. If he'd been smart enough to buy a Volkswagen, he never would have gotten into hot water.

"Senator Kennedy has called on an immediate reduction in troops in Iraq. Last week the left was saying we did not have enough troops." bbw

LOL at this. Jeez, you'd almost think the people that bbw labels as "the Left" were not a monolithic group of people with shared core beliefs who marched in unthinking lock step with each other. Some people who criticize Bush's war policy think Bush never should have gone into Iraq, but the stakes are too high to cut and run - that we can and must stay the course and do it right. Others think he should have have gone in, but that he f----d it up badly. Then there are those who think the mess is unsolvable and by staying in we can only make things worse. There are many who don't fall into any of these camps.

Personally, I think he went in way too soon, that it probably could have been avoided, and that he did a crummy job of planning for the occupation - but am not ready to say we should cut and run.

I'm still thinking about the exit strategy and the best situation to pull for - should we pull for a balanced government that integrates Sunni's, Kurds and Shiites, should we pull for a situation that allows each group a whole lot of autonomy (even independence) or should we let the Shiites dominate and do what we can to assure they don't get too close to a Fundamentalist Iran and don't brutalize Sunni's and Kurds (especially Kurds) - or????

So it really was about the oil?:

"If Zarqawi and [Osama] bin Laden gain control of Iraq, they would create a new training ground for future terrorist attacks," Bush said. "They'd seize oil fields to fund their ambitions."
