Simple solution that works for me: I have a yahoo email address posted here. I get all sorts of junk mail on that one, and that's okay since it's not my primary email. I refuse to post my primary email anywhere and never use it for registering on any website. I always use my yahoo for that.

I've done this for years and its kept my primary email address 100% spam free.”

“I've usually done that too, but for hiking sites I succumbed and posted my real address.

Something that I like to do when registering at a website is to use a fake name. So it's easy to know it's spam when I get email for "Navarro Youmindi" or "Iwon Tellyu".”

Our (small) company had all of our email addresses posted on our web site for a while, so now I delete about 30 or so spam emails every morning, lots more on Monday mornings. My favorite spam today arrived with the subject line, "Becky the farmgirl." No, I didn't open it....”
