You are so right sunshine. I had an Aunt who was raising model children in a model house when she had two of them. When she had six kids they were dirty and neglected--it was just too much for her.

My grandkids are a fun bunch. They entertain themselves if ignore them for awhile. I was surprised last week when I kept them--I had three that night. I was really beat tired but I try never to turn them down when they want to visit unless I have a really good reason. Anyway, they seemed to know somehow how tired I was . The ten year old cleaned up the kitchen without being asked and the four year old picked up all the toys. I was truly pleased and grateful.

Sass, I'm glad to know that I'm not the only mommy of a 2 yr. old that is getting "the request." LOL!

Thanks everyone. Good stuff. We are definitely waiting, no matter how much she asks. We just aren't ready. And it's true, she has cousins that she will see often. In another yr., they'll be a blast for her.

My standard child care reply
"There is no child care problem that cannot be solved with the proper application of duct tape."

NG - you might try buying her a baby brother in the form of a large teddy bear....
