Was a great day in Damacas today Gemini and I went to the big yard sale. All I can say it was big but not the kind of yard sale I hoped it would be ...more like a junk sale. However Gemini found a great deal on a slightly used bed roll.. and we both decided after eating a calzone at the Italian place to go for a hike. We headed over to Back bone rock in TEnn a short drive due west. We spent 4 hrs exploring all of the trails in the area going as far as we dared...One trail suddenly seems to stop up hill after a rather strenous climb, (Gemini won't agree with that) but we are at old logging road that must have not been used in a few but is still evident... we decided we will go back and explore this area again when we have more time. After 4 hrs of hiking we got back into the car and headed home. Looking forward to next weekend...and so it begins!”

Hmmm this year I was told by some of the locals that the overflow tents will have to stay at the old school over off the road to Backbone rock... since it will be late in the week it's hard to tell.”

DONT EAT AT SICILY'S PIZZA !!!!!!!!!!

Mark and I sat down and started chowing down on an Athens Pizza..Got 2 pieces in me and saw the pizza platter crawling with tiny little ants !!!!!

The owner was such a jerk about it..wanted to fix us another pizza..Yeah like we didnt get our bellies full of the first army of ants..

Anyway after Mark so politely sugessted we not have to pay..the owner said we had to pay for the salad and drinks..

It would have been allright to pay for what we already had but he didnt have to be a A HOLE about it..

So pass that on to EVERYONE..unless you like crawly things on your pizza”

But one concern..with all the people that willbe camping there..It might get a bit loud..

I camp out on SR58 It is much more relaxing for me. NO CROWDS!
In the past several years we have met up at MRO Mount rogers outfitters. Easy to find. The town want you to camp away from town central, but last year it backfired. And the river area filled up anyway.”
