Trail Days in Damascus, VA

“I'm going the last weekend, May 16-18. No real set plans yet. I'll be getting with my friends Hummingbird and her husband Dutch Treat and camping near them.

“hyway asked if there is going to be a specific TT spot at Trail Days. The answer is, none that I know of. Although I'm listed as this trip's "organizer", there's not going to be a lot of organization going on, on my part anyway. I'm going up there to spend some time with some friends, and see what Trail Days is all about. Just thought some TT people might be interested.”

I did Google searches using Trail Days, Camping Damascus Viginia, and Campgrounds Damascus Virginia. I only looked at the first couple of hits. There's probably more there that you might find helpful.”

“I'll call the lady that I reserved a booth with and ask her if she can get a good spot or have any suggestions.”

“Last year they had a free designated campsites all round..Jerbear and I checked it out..we found a nice place by the river..
It was behind the old rock school house..”

“Yes, you can ride with me. It'll be loaded down with gear. I thinking about leaving either Wednesday late or early early on Thursday. More than likely on Wednesday night though. I have to be there no later than noon to set up on Thursday.”

“Now this going on we saw last year..The thursday before the big weekend we walked around and there was plenty of space available..

So Ill leave here thursday afternoon and go save us all a few spots..Ill make a big sign so we will be easy to find..

Yes Akeena will be tagging along..its amazing how the little imp is growing..

“Well, we'll need space for a Megamid and a solo tent. If my son doesn't end up coming with us then we'll give away his space or use it for lounging about, or whatever. He's more likely to come with us than not.

“I think the TT shirts thing is a good idea. Those of us who have them can wear them on Friday. Those who don't have them, it's OK you can just look for those who do have them. It might be a little freaky at first to have coplete strangers walk up to us and say "Hey, I'm ***** from Trail Talk. Who are you?" but we'll get used to it. Maybe. LOL!”
