That is very cool! It's amazing the things humankind invents these days. However, fuel cells would still be better for the environment. I'd like to see civilization be done with oil altogether. :-)

With all the troubl oil leads to politiclly and enviromentally (I don't think the sky is falling but still) I'd been willing to go to something cleaner and that is a replentishable and pay the extra money it'd cost.

if you look into the site, the process also makes other products besides crude, like organic fatty acids, natural gases (butane, methane, propane), solid carbon, and other minerals. Stuff that could be used in other sectors for so called "green" purposes. Better then the fact it's making crude is the fact it's reducing our garbage problem.

I didn't read the whole thing, but one question that comes to mind is how much energy does it take perform the whole process? Since it probably takes more energy than is produced by the process, that energy would have to come form somewhere. Most likely fossil fuels. So, it won't be commercially viable until certain cost targets are met.
