Backpacking Question*
I am thinking about buying a stove. Do you reccomend Westinghouse or Magic Chef? I've been burned in the past, so your advice is appreciated.

* Well, it's more of a household question.

I recommend gas over electric.
You can regulate temperature more easily and therefore adequately and properly boil and cook your wort without burning it.

Ain't that the truth. ;)

Those cook-top stoves are nice. Buck up for one of those. :)

Do a consumers report search. If you don't want to subscribe, go to the library and look at back issues.

I recommend gas, with a self cleaning oven. I also recommend trying to find one w/o a computer. (might be impossible) Our computer failed and it cost us $200 to replace it! That's $300 less than a new stove, but still it hurt deeply.

Definitely gas! Electric stoves suck to actually cook on!
