“Beaver Creek Wilderness In Ky might be what you are looking for...Arches, Cliffs, Solitude, and a lack of trails. Check with the forest service first because much of it may be closed due to So. Pine Beetle damage.

you'll like quehanna. lots of isolation, northern hardwood forests, open meadows, scenic streams and campsites. elk occasionally seen in NW corner of the loop. northern half of the loop is more difficult with greater elevation changes and some nice views. enjoy.”
