(I think it WAS 6 years of high school...)
On their way back through they were both completely nude. they said that they were going to heat up some water and do the same and if I wanted to stop by I was welcome, with another big smile on their faces. I thought they were sending signals but wasn't totally sure just what kind.

Level at the pond on the trail and where you turn to go back into the campsites was fine. The big pond in the back by the campsites is very low.

I like being naked and I like sex but if you think my being nude is an invitation for sex you will be disappointed if not in extreme pain.

What does open minded mean anyway? Does that mean that you can never make up your mind? My morality is not a closed mind. It is the result of a careful consideration of all known facts and options. Show me a new truth and I will reconsider. I will not plow the same ground over. Hearing the same arguments again is of no value. If you leave your mind “open” all the time dirt blows in.

"My hypocricy know's no bounds" Val kilmer as Doc Holliday in Wyatt Earp.

This should fit most of you well. It's amazing. You all preach about how down to earth you are, enjoying the outdoors and what nature has to offer. Even including nude hiking/backpacking/camping, and not passing judgement on others who do it even if you aren't into it, more or less having the "to each their own" attitude. But someone throw's something into the equation that you don't understand or agree with, then the hypocricy comes rushing out, lol.

Hypocrisy would be me saying that indiscriminant sex with strangers is bad and then screwing every person that came by. Saying that I reserve sex for just my hubby and doing so is not hypocrisy. Tolerance does not equal acceptance. One can believe something is wrong and still tolerate it. My saying an action is wrong is not intolerant, my beating the tar out of you for the action is intolerant.

I will be backpacking this weekend with lows around 16. The nude hikers never seem to show up.
bacpac

Let me clarify:

I do not think nudity is an open invitation to sex.
I do not think that a person going nude is advertising for sex.
I would not approach anyone that was nude, at their campsite or anywhere, without an open invitation.
If I am nude and aware that someone is approaching my area, I will cover up out of respect, unless I know they don't mind.
I do not go nude when hiking/backpacking/camping because I am advertising or looking for sexual encounters.
If someone, male or female, approaches me and show's an interest, I'm an adult, I can let them know if I'm interested.
I don't get offended by this because I feel it's every person's right to be who they want to be and live life how they want to live it.

Wasn't there a sex on the trail thread a few weeks back? THese folks didn't actually backpack nude, they hung out at camp nude and got busy. Not quite the same thing. There's much less chafing involved with what they did....well maybe not considering it was 3 dudes. There may have been more chafing.

“HPM and thrifty - agreed. The line about they're smiling, naked, and you don't know what their implying? That wasn't believable.”

They could have been smiling because when they saw I went nude, they could also enjoy being nude instead of having someone around prohibiting them from doing it. I wasn't going to automatically assume what I thought they might have in mind and act upon it until I knew for sure.
