Bechtel just got a $6 1/2 billion contract to help rebuild Iraq.

Again only 3 companies invited to bid, all with close ties to the Bush administration.

See we didn't go to war for OIL like those commie fag liberals claimed!
Rebuilding is so much more lucrative.

What's the saying, Democrats?

No Blood for Oil, right?

This reminds me of when a Democrat called for a draft a few years ago, and so the left was blaming Bush for trying to bring back the draft.

LOL

I am both in favor of Iraq spending their oil money in this instance and in favor of the draft.

Yeah, me too ... before I was against it.

Unless alternative energy comes on line soon, I don't see how blood for oil won't happen. Oil is the life blood of the economy. Wars have started over lesser things than that. Right now countries are postioning themselves in energy markets to secure supplies and building military bases to back that up.

RichB, how's it going? You live fairly close (a couple hours) - I'd like to hike with you sometime. You give me perspective.

Okay, I'm hanging in there. That sounds good, just let me know. I hope to make some trips soon and have been out dayhiking.

Cool. Nothing crazy here either. I've been dayhiking a couple miles a day and a few more jogging on the treadmill, but some health issues are keeping me from anything longterm right now. I think I'm ready for a weekender. I'll email you if something comes up. jimhuber123 at a yahoo address. (Sarge)

you can hear the text?

Funny thing is, it probably sounded fake to you because you're not used to hearing sincerity around here. A real shame.

Nigal, cheap gas is on it's way just like every other time in the past, you really didn't think this time was for reel and gaff?

So many questions:

Is this is a supply swap thread or some new angle on a blood drive?

How many quarts of 5W-40 can I get for a pint of blood?

Does it have to be my blood?

BTW: I see no problem with having the Iraqis use their own oil revenue for their own reconstruction as long as they are really in control of it. If Democrats made them spend it and it all went to firms with heavy ownership of Dem leaders and major Dem supporters, I would likely cry foul.
