My sister was offered a great job yesterday and immediately accepted. I was granted tenure on Monday. We decided to go out and celebrate.

It made a Good Friday a great Friday. I even ate a big old steak.

“I had an awesome Good Friday! Started w/ a two hour drive to a town NW of me. Then, I hung out at a small park on the Chippewa River for an hour or so while waiting to meet someone. Then, a yummy Chinese lunch buffet. After that, an ice cream and a trip to an outdoor store (and a couple purchases!) Finally, it ended w/ a night of camping on a lake w/ no other people in site. It was a beautiful, sunny day and a beautiful, clear night. Ahhhhhh. So relaxing!”
