This has got to be the worst top 12 ever. I do like Taylor, and I think America does too because he's at least entertaining. Not the best singer, but I'm thinking he might even win this thing by just being a fun guy.

Kellie Pickler is a fake, and I'm sure soon you'll have people coming out of the woodwork to say just that if she wins. She's got some good people pulling the strings for her with the "dumb blonde" act.

I think Kathryn has the best voice, but distances herself by the song chioces.

All in all, it's still pretty entertaining and next weeks show should be great. Rod Stewart has a huge book of tunes that will fit everyones niche.

“This is called posturing. From here on, these artists are setting themselves up for what comes next. At this point, they've established themseleves into mainstream America and have garnered enough exposure to warrant market share. So, when they eventually get voted off the show their transition into the market is already defined which eludes to the premise of molding a product.

In Daughtry's case, he's clearly accomplishing two goals. One, that he defines his target audience which lies within the genre and mold of Creed, Fuel and throw in a little Metallica. This leads to Simon's comment of being self-indulgent. Two, he has succumbed to the fact that he can't pull off any other style which will ultimately narrow his market share and hence get him ousted. There isn't enough mainstream American votes to carry him to the end.

Someone like Pickler or Hicks can cover a broader range of voters. The simple secret to all of this is appealing to a larger segment of our population and by doing that you'll carry more votes and get you the prize.”
