Bring snake chaps because Tongue is FAMOUS for it's rattlesnake dens. They're protected, so don't show anyone should you have a need to kill one. Signs all-over-the-place. I'm a snake phobic so I only go there in cold weather.

Lake George (Hudson Valley) Lake Champlain are some of the rare spots ( a few more) that poisonous snakes are found in the Adirondacks. Islands & other side have them too.”
