That sounds great. I love that area and maybe someday I'll get back. I live around Baltimore and am raising 3 teenagers still. But when they are all out to college I plan on looking for a teaching job in some town up there or somewhere else similar. I went to school at WVU and worked as a forester in WVA for a while. Yeah, places like Nitro (always loved that name)are the pits, but then you should see some of the places here.”

“Just got back from three wild, wonderful days. Pass right through Keyser and along New Creek on the way there and back. It was great.”

“What a great day it was in the Mid-Atlantic yesterday. Actually got to go out. As I was driving along Skyline drive, on the way to the trailhead, it was a stunning day and I thought it would be good to try some culture, so I put some classical radio on. While this worked well when driving just on the eastern side of the ridge, looking out toward DC, with the orchestral strains caming through loud and clear - as the road switched to the western side of the ridge, looking out toward west Virginia, a country station would kick in. At one point I swear I could just about make out a banjo ;o) Stunning country though, spring had just kissed the branches at the higher elevations.”

i spent all day yesterday outside, but it was mainly hanging out in one place...i do have some sunburn to show for it, though. i went to watch Tarpy ride his motorcycle on the track, and his poor bike got smashed all to pieces! bummer. he didn't get hurt, though!”
