PA hike this weekend

“who wants to go hiking this weekend? maybe sunday, it's supposed to be great weather.

i'm thinking about revisiting my new favorite place- mcintyre wild area. we'll climb up miners run with massive boulders, waterfalls, and cascades. lots of scrambling and bushwhacking. we'll then bushwhack along the edge of the plateau to two outstanding rock outcrops/ vistas.

we'll continue our bushwhack to awesome band rock, another great view. descend along dutchman run, up abbots run (several great waterfalls!), and bushwhack back to mcintyre road and descend back down miners run.

if we have time, may visit awesome rock run with deep pools, chasms, flumes, chutes and waterfalls. rock run is so beautiful.

this will be a very difficult, strenuous hike with some incredible scenery.

if you have another place in mind, we might go there instead.”

If it was Saturday, I'd surely consider joining your MWA itinerary. But yesterday when I dropped out of the Adirondacks trip (which was cancelled anyway), I made new plans for Sunday.

Sorry I can't make the day-hike. I need a monster weekend backpack to make up for the Daks cancellation. Soooo, if anybody wants to join me on a suicidal weekend, I'll be doing the entire Black Forest Trail.”
