LOL at Geo. I've been to Philly and have eaten what was called a "Philly" cheesesteak, but I must have got it from the wrong stand. ;)

I think I saw a show on The Food Channel about the shop that sells the real Philly cheesesteaks. You have to stand in line and know the proper local slang for ordering or the guy sends you to the back of the line.
Is that real?

That is real. There are two stands in South Philly: Pat's and Geno's. I forget which is the one you are talking about.

Check out D'Allesandro's on Henry Ave. in NW Philly next time, or Chubby's across the street.

Today sounds like a good cheesesteak day. All that talk yesterday got my mouth watering. Let's see, D'Allesandro's or Chubby's? So many cheesesteaks; so little time. And a Yeungling B&T to wash it down!

Ha ha, I've seen that place in NYC, treebeard! I was too scared to eat there though. You ever eat at the Dojo on St. Marks? I love that place, their chicken with veggies and brown rice is awesome. Washed down with a Brooklyn Lager. Mmmmmmmm.

I HIGHLY recommend the Dojo!! It's inexpensive also! I think the dish I described is only about 7 bucks. They have tables outside so you can people watch, which is always a treat on St. Marks place. :-)
