What weekend works for you?
I am going to "try" and plan an Adirondack trip for the summer...

Most likely it will be in an area that is usually wet and buggy in the Spring but hopefully better in August.

I am thinking somewhere in the area of Cranberry Lake.

What weekend works best for everyone and would you be interested?

The 2 weekends that I have in mind are August 1-3 or August 8-10....with options of coming earlier or later.

So what do you all think?

Interested?

Mr. A - either weekend, as in Memorial or Labor Day??

The Devil's Path is not looking good, my hopes are hanging on by a thread (no pun intended). I just got slammed with a three-day project this coming week and I have to head into work today for a couple hours.

YA, of course I am interested. Isn't that a given by now?

I'd rather go to the High Peaks but anywhere in the Daks is good. I don't have anything planned in Aug yet so any date is open.

I feel so left out. I'd be in for a cruise through the high peaks. I'll never pass up a trip to Haystacks

Cool !!!
I only live about 2-1/2 hours from that area. I also have a cabin about 1 hour from Cranberry lake on Tug Hill,NY (Osceola, NY) if you guys need a place to crash before the hike. Being a NEW guy to hiking, I can be your entertainment :-)...haha

I am going up this Friday and Saturday to Cut firewood for next winter, so I can give ya a better answer on Monday. Last I knew about a week ago there was only Snow in the woods, in areas where the sun does not hit. It has been raining for 3 days in Upstate, NY, so I would say from expirience it should be gone by now. We only got about 300 inches this season :-( The Adirondacks only gets about 1/2 of what Tug Hill gets for snow. Their should be ZERO snow left in the Adir.

Are you still interested in going Capn Bobo even though it's not in the High Peaks?
