“I've been catching the last few shows and it is very well done. While I think some teams have no place being in the race (the reality team and the celebrity team) I find their ordeal just as interesting. I find it way too easy to view the #&%!$ing and fighting as petty and childish but then I remember what these people are going through. 36 hours without sleep? Heck, I get cranky if I don't get my afternoon nap!”

That was funny last night when then one guy had the batteries in his headlamp go out and they did not want to stop to get fresh ones out of the pack. Then after they started up, the guy fell and hurt his thumb. What a bunch of nuckleheads!”

“I think you could put together a team or two from Trail Talk that would do quite well. The hard part would be picking out the 4 people.

I do think Snow Nymph would be one of them.”

“Well, it's been my experience when backpacking with other TTers that it tends to be more of a group discussion and decision because several people present possess wilderness navigation skills. That would tend to slow down a team in a race, however. Probably not as much as getting lost, though. If they only have one navigator, what would they do if he/she is injured and has to drop out?”

I agree with you but when you see the celerbity and reality teams out there you know you can find quite a few people on here who could do it.”

I have enjoyed the race but want to see more of it. They have focused on a limited amount of teams. Obviously those with advertising sponsorship. I too am waiting for the military type team to explode.
