Help please!
Hi,

I am wondering if anyone would like to share their experiences with TNF's Superlight sleeping bag. I am looking at buying one, but would have to import it (Australia) before I could see it for myself. The only TNF bag I have seen at the moment is the only one we currently sell at work, their 'Kilobag'. It is 600+ down, and looks good, but on close inspection seems fairly ordinary. Loft is not great, the seams are a bit rough in places, and the baffles seem as if they would create large cold spots right throughout the bag.

Somebody please restore my confidence in TNF products!

Lafuma...
makes a great light weight 600 down bag...mine cost 60 bucks...stuffs to the size of a 8" subway sandwich and weighs 14 oz. (I think).

I have the Superlight's lighter cousin, the Blue Kazoo. It's 6 or more years old and gets used very often. No sign of wearing out or getting less warm whatsoever. I love mine and would recommend it anyday.

The Blue Kazoo is a 20 deg bag the superlight is a 0 deg.

I have a Scout in my troop who has used a superlight for two years now and he loves it. Great bag.
I have a superlight endurance -5 that I love.

TNF makes great bags. Yes there are lighter ones out there but I've been happy with all of mine.

Stikmon I don't know what your subway bag is but it ain't a TNF Superlight!

From REI:
"Stuff sack size: 9.5 x 18 inches.
Average total weight 3 lbs. 13 oz. "

I have the 15+ Degree version of this bag
Mine weighs less than 3 lbs and it is the long-size. The 800 fill down is great! Stuffs down small and puffs up nicely! The 15 degree raiting is a little conservative but than again I am a hot sleeper. I found mine two years ago on Campmor for $160.00

no, its a LA FUMA!!!!
made by our cousins to the NORTH, you know...canada.

I acqired it in a very peculiar way at Wilderness Exchange unlimited in denver. I don't know if they have it anymore, but its killer. I love it! I wlso use it as a inner bag, on really REALLY potentially cold outings, inside my Wiggy's, (but don't tell wiggy that, he'd chew my head off).

You know I clicked that and now it's in my pull down menu. My wife was just on line getting her e mail and asked me what the HE[[ I had been looking at.

I have one of these bags, but since you have been rude to my friend stikmon I will keep my opinion to myself.

Well I apologise for my profane rudeness, without knowing what the hell 'lafuma' meant I thought stikmon was referring to the superlight.

Many thanks to everyone for their thoughts and advice.
