Who broke Webshots?

“They do screw up from time to time...sometimes to the customers' advantage. I have one album that allowed me to up load more than 250 pics...it just never closed off the album at 60. I took advantage of the glitch and packed other albums. They still exist.

I DO NOT like the new format of only 15 pics per page. It makes looking at a 60 pic album a little more cumbersome.

Recently I received a message and a severe handslap from Andrea stating I had infinged a copywritten pic. I was told they deleted the pic, and if I did it again they would cancel my accounts...that's four different accounts paid for for 2 years.

The pic in question was taken at a family event and was of a niece and nephew. I reminded Andrea I took the pic and if anyone was claiming rights to it I wanted to know about it so I could alert my attorney.

Andrea messaged back they had made an error, and they restored the pic.

“The reason none of you can load pictures is because Photo Assistant is no longer their "assistant". Here is the new Webshots Desktop that you will need to download. However, I hate the fact that when you start the download on your computer from the digital camera, everything goes into this program first, then you have the option of sending them all to your hard drive. You end up downloading twice. If anyone can figure out how to turn that off, let me know.

“I use the new Desktop but yesterday nothing was working, the Desktop, Photo Asst, and even the old fashion way of posting one pic at a time.

For downloading pics, I download from my memory card to my hard drive first. Then I upload from my hard drive to Webshots. I like having my pics on hd in case of a Webshots crash. I also backup on cds in case of a hd crash.”
