Painting My Nails

“but today I painted Newergirl and myself's nails. I did her's flaming red and mine a metallic silver color that is so thick it looks like real medal. Anyway, do you guys ever do a little "gettin' spiffed up" routine and then think how great you look?

It's getting close to summer and I'm really excited to feel like I look decent and less ghostly. I know it seems shallow, but you guys can not tell me that you don't get excited for the far sexier days of summer. (I live in MT remember. There is a noticeable difference is sexiness factor for men and women w/ the season change. LOL!)”

I did, however, put on my pre-baby bathing suit for the first time since pregnancy today. Abster and I went swimming at the new community center pool. It was awesome until the "we have to go home now" tantrum. =)”

“LOL! Sass, I just realized what you wrote about the polish just peeling off the next day anyway. That is exactly why I'm not usually into it. Newergirl really want her nails painted though and then after I did her's, I thought, "Gosh darn, summer is in like, a week, I'm painting my nails too!"”

“Sass - way to go on the suit! I'm thinking about joining that rec center myself (I get a deal since I work in the city - but not quite as good as the residents). I'm also working my way towards a suit I wore a few years ago. Down 2 lbs in two weeks. :)

Laugh all you want to guys. I love doing the nail thing at the beginning of summer too. Except, I can't seem to keep nail polish on the fingernails for more than a couple of hours before it chips. However, I do believe today is Pedicure Day for me ¦ ) .”

“My toenails are still all black and gnarly looking from breaking in a new pair of boots last month. At first, it looked like they were painted, but now it looks like the evil dead is festering beneath the surface.”

I'm more concerned with painting toenails! Looks so good with sandals, plus my toenails are all yellowish otherwise. ick!

As far as looking ahead to looking better in summer days, I just started tanning. I know, I know... years ago I did a ton and then vowed to never do it again. But... I'm SICK OF BEING WHITE! So I'm trying to take as many precautions as I can, while frying myself.... and see a little brown after two sessions. :-)”

“i used to let my daughter paint mine tonails all the time usually it wasn't it big deal... but one day i'd forogotten that i'd let her paint them and wore sandals to work... oops... all the fellows were thinking... that i'd wasn't a fellow anymore - ha ha! it was kind of funny... actually they just kidded me a little.”

“i used to sun tan like crazy too, now I use 45 SFP. Still get a tan fast though. I tell my sister already not to use tanning beds, lay in the sun, etc, but she won't listen.

what else do I do to get ready for summer? hmm, get a new hair cut, buy me some new shoes, maybe some cloth. (depends if I feel like going to the over-crowded mall)

“My sister had a melanoma at age 28. Not to mention my mother had one when I was little, and about a million of my aunts, uncles, and cousins have had them as well. Yes, melanoma, not just your run of the mill bad looking mole or that basal cell stuff. Tanning is NOT a good thing!

I like blending it with packing peanuts, snow storms, and my kitchen cupboards. It makes great camoflage.”
