That a stick of dynamite cannot solve!
LMAO

I dont want to be indoors cleaning today. I don't WANT to have a yard sale. I want to be outside on the trail.
I say let's just blow it up and forget the yardsale!
I might be depriving someone of what they consider a successful dumpster dive if I don't pitch this stuff out!
I'm gonna try that line out on the Hairy Beast this evening. He said if I didn't get this schiznit ready for a yard sale ...it was not gonna be pretty.

Thanks Skullcap
for some validation. Its good to know someone else knows how rotten yard sales are. My Mom has brainwashed my hubby into thinking its a good idea. She's such a huckster. Its all good.... tomorrow I'm hittin the trail!

I hate yard sales.

My wife does all the work, and I still hate yard sales.

You know why?

Yard salers.

You know the ones I'm talking about. The ones that, if you don't cover up all the stuff you want to keep, will drag your lawnmower out of your garage and ask if you'll take fifteen bucks for it. The ones who'll haggle for 10 minutes trying to save a nickel on a stained baby washcloth. The ones who have no shame in going into your house and using your bathroom, then not flushing the toilet.

You know who I'm talking about.

Yard sales. Ugh.

Just tell them yes they can use the bathroom but it'll cost them a quarter, there's a two dollar refundable flushing deposit, and the TP is ten cents per square.

You can laugh but I have a friend that does this. It works.

Hey skully, on an unconnected note, can you email me again with G00SE's cellphone number? I left it at home and won't be going back there this afternoon before I leave for Damascus.

Consider it done. Mainly because it's been done.

Yard Sales Rock!!
Dare and I had a HUUUGE yard sale after we got engaged and moved in together. We sold a lot of duplicate junk we collectively had. Made a small fortune which prompted us to run off to Niagara Falls with the moolah. Cha-chinnng!

goood times
:o)

Good luck with your stuff, Dana. Sorry to not validate ya. LMAO @ your hairy beast petname...or how about Sasquatch? heheheh

It is fun to fight with people who haggle over the price of things. I had a lady once offer me a penny for some kind on vase I was selling. I priced it at 10 cents. We argued for a while, you know, why can't you pay what I priced it for. I was about to give in when she handed me the vase. I decided to drop it watching it break into pieces at her feet. OOPS, I said. Do you still want to buy it for a penny?

Whoo! Too funny
WoundedKnee, you are da stuff. I love that story. Its hilarious. My Mom has a couple yard sales each year. I hate them. Sometimes I've helped her with them. I have made money, Amy just like you say. But dealing with folks like WK talks about and the gathering up the scheisse is why I still hate them. We should do well though. Selling a huge Hillary tent. I think it would seat a small circus crowd. I looked at that rascal and said "Its been cool and all, but you gots to go!"
As for the HairyBeast nickname....He tells folks he lives a hard life on account of me. EVERYONE's a victim! lol

I can't believe people would actually ask if they can use your bathroom! I'd give them a big NO WAY!

You gotta be careful. Pay close attention to the ones who seem to be looking at the house more than the items you're selling.

Yeah, I could see that. I had a case not long ago where someone had some work done on their house, and she kept noticing a worker was real interested in the house itself. Sure enough, they were broken into about 2 weeks later.
