Sorry, but homeland security is a big issue in America nowadays. Don't event think the biggest of the armchair generals would argue that here. So, why, just to entertain some military personnel do they buzz a the skyline of a vity that is on perpetual orange alert? I would love to see these people visit our beautiful city, but not under these circumstances. Sorry, but this makes no sense to me...

Because I see stupid people. They're everywhere and they don't even know they're stupid.

They mostly hang out on the freeways when I'm trying to get to work or come home from work though. LOL!

Homeland security is just a way for the goverment to take advantage of american fear by taking away our freedoms and replacing them with feel good measures that dont do a thing for actual security and then taxing us for the privledge.

Didn't need another thread here, but...
...While I am sort on the subject of the New York skyline, there are a lot of people out on 42nd St. right now looking at the spire atop of the Chrysler Building (2nd largest in NYC behind the Empire State) because there is what looks like someone about a third of the way up the spire hanging there. I work on the 32nd floor of a building a block away and can see him on there. What is going on, I don't yet know. Someone had said that a person was up there a few weeks ago and they were filming the new Spiderman movie. But, as of now, I am not sure what's happening here...

Well, there are definitely two or three people on the spire of the Chrysler Building. One of them is just about to the top. There is a helicopter buzzing around them, but no major police activity to speak of (which leads me to believe that it isn't an illegal stunt). But, I still can't find anything anywhere as to a reason why...

Haha. I think it would be so cool to live/work in NYC! You never know what's going to happen next. I really need to visit it some time.

bacpac, do you think flying low through here was a good idea to entertain some military personnel?

Wow! A 767 doing loops? That IS crazy!

"several" people called 911.
Heck, "several" people called 911 the last time I checked my mail nekkid - and I live in the country...

Yeah, Gojo. On 9/11, they looped right back through the World Trade Centers!

I'm just splitting hairs.
767s can't do loops.

(Chuck Yeager might beg to differ, but I doubt it).

LOL Gojo.

I think they meant horizontal loops, not vertical ones.
