Here is another email censorship story. There was a very strong external applicant for a job with
our company. He was asked to send his resume to several of our folks. We waited, but it didn't show up. Over the phone he said he sent it and re-sent it, but still nothing was received on our end. The problem was that his credentials were just too good. He
graduated "with highest honors" and it turned out the Latin word for "with" is on the no-no list for our email filter.

The moral for new graduates: you'll have a better chance of getting a foot in the door with mediocre school performance.”

“That's pretty funny but yikes! Blocking an entire email over one word sounds problematic - other programs just block the offending word, like they do on websites.

Next time I send a vitae, I'll use the English instead of the Latin.”
