Great job!

Did that hike with our Scout troop and it is one of the best views for such a short access hike.

(Info for those who may not know, Mt. Islip overlooks Los Angeles to the South and the Mojave Desert to the North. On a perfectly clear day the views are spectacular.)

In the fall, we hiked from Vincent Gap up to Baden-Powell then over the ridge to Burnnam and Throop Peaks - we saw some fire damage, but not the amount you saw on your trek to Islip.

The fire destroyed much, but it will allow new life to begin.
