“I have come to the conclusion that Bass Pale Ale could be the perfect bottled beer.

There are some micro brews that are excelent, but inthe world of mass production, I think Bass or Sam Adams have got to be the best. So, IT'S FRIDAY! Get 'em up!”

“Newcastle my friend, is the perfect bottled beer. Bass is quite good, however cannot match Newcastle's clean crisp flavor.”

“Newkie's aren't too bad. They lack the sharp bitter-sweet flavor of the Bass though.”

I'm convinced that beer is a gift from the heavens. Over the past 7 weeks, I have set my mind on sampling this country's finest beers - now beer isn't the soul reason I am traveling, but it is a nice addition. I have been to over 20 breweries (micro-breweries, brewpubs, etc) some produce the nectar of the gods, some produce cat piss.

As for "mass production" goes, I'm not a huge fan of any imports (Bass, Newcastle, Guiness, etc.) though I will drink a Bass on occasion. Sam Adams isn't horrible, I do like some of their seasonal beers. Now, Redhook has some good beers - I am quite fond of their ESB, and their Autumn ale. New Belgium is reaching the heights of "mass production" and I will rarely pass up a fat tire. In the East, it's not too difficult to find ABC (apalachian brewing company) beer, their scottish ale is directly from the gods. And in the midwest, Summit is an excelent choice, their EPA is popular and for good reason, But their Winter ale is to die for.
