Springs sprung in the Sierras!

Finally! My window boxes are full of flowers, The temps are perfect. HUGE crowds in the park for Memorial weekend. The Azaleas should be blooming soon, Life is Goood!”

“I'm at 6500 ft. Spring comes a tad later. Day time high temp was 75 today. close to 100 in the valley. Cedar Grove experienced some pretty good thunder/lighting. Did not build up enough for the front side.

Wood peckers are drilling holes in my house. Any sugestions, BESIDES a pellet gun?”

“I would suggest vinyl siding, but it wouldn't help the fact that the woodpeckers are just drilling to eat the termites that are eating your house.

So, I guess my suggestion is: Move.”

“What type of woodpecker? Some eat carpenter ants rather than termites. Aluminum siding or cement board covering can keep them out. Unless it's just using your house for a louder signal. They do that too. I have a pilated woodpecker who sounds off on a downspout every morning.”
